An Act of Faith
(Mark 5:24-35)
Yearly Theme: “Kindness is… Astounding”
Series Title: “Kindness 24/7”
October 1st, 2023

Mark 5:24-35

Key Point: “To become a true agent of kindness, we must recognize and receive it for ourselves.”

We must be willing to seek Him out.
We must be willing to face whatever it is that holds us back.
We must be willing to not run or hide from it.

When you have multiple people or responsibilities pressing you for action all at the same time, how do you decide which to take care of first?

Make a quick review of Mark chapter 5 and then list all the people with needs and requests surrounding Jesus.

Jesus was surrounded by many people making requests of him. How do you think he decided who to help and when to help them?

What are your impressions of the sick woman? Why do you think Jesus makes the woman reveal herself? How was her faith obvious to Jesus?

In these two situations (the woman and the little girl), what is the relationship between faith and healing?

What are the similarities and differences between the woman healed and the father (Jairus) seeking the healing of his daughter?

What new things did the disciples learn about the power and compassion of Jesus on this day? What have you learned about Jesus from this? What is the relationship between crisis and faith in your life?
