Christ Is The Bridegroom
1. He refers to Himself as the Bridegroom.
(Mark 2:18-20)
2. John the Baptist refers to Him as the Bridegroom.
(John 3:28-30)


Phase #1 – Shiddukhin

Matchmaking and Agreement

Shiddukhin- What Does It Mean For Us?

1. The Father has sought us for His Son

2. The Father has paid a price for us.
(John 3:16)

3. Jesus has purchased us for Himself by His blood.
(Acts 20:28)

Phase 2 – Erusin - Betrothal

Erusin- What Does It Mean To Us?

1. We belong to Him.
(1 Corinthians 6:19-20)

2. He is Sanctifying Us through His word and the Holy Spirit.
(Ephesians 5:25-27)

3. He is preparing a place for us.
(John 14:1-2)

4. We should be living for Him as we wait.

Phase 3 – The Marriage Supper

The Marriage Supper- What Does It Mean For Us?

1. He is coming back for us soon.
(John 14:3)

2. We will be joined with Him at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.
(Revelation 19:7-9)

3. We will be with Him forever.
(1 Thessalonians 4:16-18)

How Should We Respond?

1. Live in Gratitude because of His love and Sacrifice.

2. Live in reverence because we are His!

3. Live with expectation because He is coming soon!!
