Part 1: Pastor Dan Young, Next-Gen Pastor - Kids
"In the race to a child's heart, the first one there wins."
- George Barna

Parents have roughly 936 weeks from the time their child is born until they graduate high school.

Most kids will spend about 40 hours a year in church.

Parents will have somewhere around 3000 hours with their children at home.

The home plus the church are a beautiful partnership in discipleship..

Part 2: Pastor Dan Elkins, Next-Gen Pastor - Students
At Northland, to be a church that glorifies God by participating in His Mission of redeeming a people from all peoples, we must reach the next generation before it is too late.

We reach the next generation or risk losing them to the world.
We reach the Next Generation by being examples of Godly convictions, by making the Lord and what He has done known, and by sharing our changed lives with those younger than us.
1. Godly Convictions Lead to Devotion & Determination (v.7)
2. Distractions Lead to Disengagement & Disobedience (v.10)
3. Changed Lives Lead to Serving & Sharing (v.11-12)
- Then the Israelites did evil in the eyes of the Lord Judges 2:11
- They forsook the Lord, Judges 2:12
- They followed and worshiped various gods of the peoples around them. Judges 2:12 - They aroused the Lord’s anger Judges 2:12
We are just one generation away from the message of Jesus Christ being silenced in our nation.
We have been commissioned to take the Good News of Jesus Christ to all nations but how can we do that if we don’t start with our own?
