Psalms Greatest Hits

The Psalms are the Bible's guide to worship. They guide us through normal times, times of despair and times of deep joy. They help us understand how our emotions relate to God.

GROWTH GROUP / PERSONAL REFLECTION QUESTIONS

1. Psalm 117 calls on all nations and peoples to praise the Lord. Why do you think the psalmist emphasizes the universality of God's love and faithfulness?

2. Psalm 117 encourages all nations to trust in the Lord. What does trust in God mean to you, and how does it relate to offering praise? How does our trust in God (or lack thereof) impact our daily lives, our relationships, and our relationship with God?

3. Psalm 117 highlights God's steadfast love and faithfulness. In what ways have you personally experienced God's love and faithfulness in your life? How does reflecting on God's attributes like love and faithfulness influence your faith life, worship and gratitude?

4. Psalm 117 presents praise as a natural response to God's love and faithfulness. How do you cultivate a heart of gratitude and praise in your daily life, even in challenging circumstances? What practices or habits can help maintain a posture of praise?

5. Psalm 117 calls for ALL nations to praise the Lord. How can this message of inclusivity and unity in worship be applied to our diverse and often divided world today? What can we do as individuals and communities to promote unity and the acknowledgment of God's greatness among all people?
