The Kingdom of God: More Than Heaven. More Than The Church.
Acts 28:30-31 For two whole years, Paul stayed there in his own rented house and welcomed all who came to see him. He proclaimed the kingdom of God and taught about the Lord Jesus Christ—with all boldness and without hindrance!
The GOSPEL message goes like this...
G od created us to be with Him.
O ur sins separate us from God.
S ins cannot be removed by good deeds.
P aying the price for sin, Jesus died and rose again.
E veryone who trusts in Him alone has eternal life.
L ife with Jesus starts now and lasts forever.
“Gospel of the Kingdom of God.”
I. The Good News

“the Kingdom of God is near.”
“After John was put in prison, Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God. ‘The time has come,’ he said. ‘The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!’” - Mark 1:14-15
“But he said, ‘I must proclaim the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns also, because that is why I was sent.’" - Luke 4:43
the kingdom of God…
-is at hand.
-is breaking in.
II. The Kingdom Of God
God’s will is done God’s way, among God’s people.
Sermon on the Mount
“Let your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” - Matthew 6:10
The reality of God’s kingdom should first be demonstrated among God’s people.
“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” - Matthew 6:33
The new birth is the entryway into God’s kingdom.
III. Addressing Misconceptions
king + dominion= “kingdom”
1. The kingdom is more than Heaven.
2. The kingdom of God is not the same thing as the church.
“The kingdom of God is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.”
- Romans 14:17
Wherever people relate rightly to God, wherever there is the peace of God, and wherever there is the joy of our salvation, that’s where the kingdom of God is.
You can find God’s kingdom in unusual places.
Learn to do God’s will, God’s way, for God’s sake.
