This is our simple, all-around form of communication. It's a great "Communication Card" to let us know of address changes or sign-up for activities/serving opportunities, it's an alternative method of asking for prayer as only staff will get it and can respond, or you can simply let us know you're here.

GIVING BACK TO GOD

Giving is so easy nowadays! You can go to gatecitychristian.com and use the "giving" tab, you can download the PushPay app and give once or even set it up as a recurring gift, you can use your banks bill pay feature, or you can give in person in the foyer.

Peace in Perpetual Persecution
Jesus said – part 4
8/6/2023
I. Jesus prepared his disciples by promising them a unique kind of peace.
A. Peace is the absence of inner turmoil even during great outer turmoil.
B. Knowing the persecution that was coming, Jesus promised peace for his disciples.
II. We have the promise of peace no matter how difficult our persecuted.
A. God is our source of peace.
1. We have peace because Jesus has already overcome the world.
2. We have peace because God will overcome the world.
B. The peace we experience is proportional to us remaining in Jesus.
1. We don’t experience peace when we take things into our own hands.
2. We don’t experience peace when we live in sin.
3. We don’t experience peace because we don’t want to.
III. Peace prepares us to properly respond to persecution.
A. When we experience God’s peace, we don’t fight back the way the world does.
