4 Signs of the End Times & The Current State of the World

1. The Sign of Deception
Matthew 24:4-5 (ESV) 4 And Jesus answered them, “See that no one leads you astray. 5 For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will lead many astray.

2. The Sign of Disputes Among the Nations
Matthew 24:6-7 (ESV) 6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom,

3. The Sign of Devastation
Matthew 24:7 (ESV) 7...and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places.

4. The Sign of Deliverance into Tribulation
Matthew 24:8-9 (ESV) 8 All these are but the beginning of the birth pains. 9 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake.

There will always be a remnant: The only hope for this world is the church & the second coming of Jesus Christ.

1 Peter 1:3-7 (ESV)
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, 5 who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 6 In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, 7 so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Living as Exiles
Be Ready

1 Peter 1:5 (ESV) 5 (Exiles) who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Matthew 25:9-13 (ESV)
9 But the wise answered, saying, ‘Since there will not be enough for us and for you, go rather to the dealers and buy for yourselves.’ 10 And while they were going to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was shut. 11 Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, lord, open to us.’ 12 But he answered, ‘Truly, I say to you, I do not know you.’ 13 Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour.
Be ready for Christ’s return.
How would you live today if you knew Jesus was coming back toni

1 Peter 1:8–9 (ESV)
8 Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, 9 obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

1. Love Him
2. Believe in Him/Truth
3. Rejoice with Joy

1 Peter 1:13-16 (ESV)
13 Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 14 As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, 15 but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, 16 since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”
