The Names of God

God’s Names tell us who He is, what His character is like, and what we can expect from Him.

Elohim means “The Sovereign, All powerful One, or Mighty Creator”.

Yahweh or YHWH – I AM that I AM – Jehovah (Yehovah) or LORD

Adonai - Meaning Lord & Master

El Shaddai – God Almighty, The All Sufficient One, God of Abundance, The God of the Mountains

Jehovah Jireh – The Lord will Provide.

Jehovah Rapha – Jehovah Heals or Jehovah is my Healer.

Do you believe that God healed miraculously in Scripture, and He still heals today?

He is still Jehovah Rapha – The Lord God Who Heals today!

Why do we forget so soon that God is Jehovah Jireh? He is the Lord God Who Provides!

When you are frustrated and can’t see the way…don’t grumble to God, give it to God! Ask Him in faith to show you the way and His Provision.

I AM Jehovah Rapha – The Lord God Who Heals.

What a great lesson for us when others talk negatively of us or treat us bad, we should pray for them and for God’s healing for them instead of God’s punishment.

Wouldn’t you rather they be healed of their bad attitude and sin and receive Jesus instead of getting what their sin deserves?

Aren’t you glad God didn’t give you what your sin deserved?

Jehovah Rapha can also mean “the Lord who restores,” or “the Lord who fixes broken things.”

God told Moses to throw the wood into the bitter water to heal the water and make it sweet to drink. God then sent His One and Only Son to be put on a piece of wood, a cross, to heal our bitter hearts and souls so that through Jesus’ broken body and spilled blood atonement, we could have sweet salvation through Him.

When Elohim God spoke, creation happened.

God’s Words are life, and His Word is healing.

If you want true healing, you must come to the Father, through the Word – His One and Only Son, Jesus! Jesus is the Word and His Words are life and are healing.

Do you know Jesus? Do you know His Word? True Healing starts by submitting your life to Jesus as your Lord and Savior and then following Him daily and obeying His Word.

Healing begins with submitting your life to God through His Son Jesus. He will heal you by forgiving your sins and giving you eternal life. Then, by faith, we continue to submit to Him daily and follow His Word.

Faith in Jesus & in His will above our will. Trust His ways are better than ours and His timing is always perfect.

I know you can, and I pray you will but even if you choose not to. I still will trust You and follow You.
