The Main Thing to Know:
Forgiveness is the journey from guilt to grace

Step 1: Conviction

Three Descriptive Words:

• Transgression: rebellion (v. 1)


• Sin: miss the mark (v. 1)


• Iniquity: twisted, crooked (v. 2)

Physically (v. 3)


Spiritually (v. 4).

Step 2: Confession

Learn in confession to be honest with God. Do not give fair names
to foul sins; call them what you will, they will smell no sweeter.

To confess sin means to:
