2 Timothy 3:16-17: the Holy Scriptures are Divinely Inspired, Completely Reliable, and Entirely Sufficient.
Evidence from the New Testament that early Christians believed the New Testament writings were Holy Scripture:

1. Paul commanded his letters to be read in the public congregational gatherings of the church. (Colossians 4:16, 1 Thessalonians 5:27)
2. Paul referred to his own message as "the Word of God" (1 Thessalonians 2:13)
3. Paul quoted from the Gospel of Luke and the Old Testament and called them both "Scripture" (1 Timothy 5:18)
4. Peter refers to the writings of Paul as "Scripture" (2 Peter 3:16-17)
