Mark 5:24a
So Jesus went with him.
Mark 5:24b-26
24...A large crowd followed and pressed around him. 25 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. 26 She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse.
A walking picture of powerlessness . . .

* Socially powerless
* Religiously powerless
* Professionally powerless
* Financially powerless
* Physically powerless
* Emotionally powerless
So, where do we go from here?

> Keep pressing on toward healing
Daniel 3:17-18
17If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. 18But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.”
So, where do we go from here?

> Keep pressing on toward healing

> Believe that Jesus' power really can flow into your powerlessness
Mark 5:29-30a
29Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering. 30At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him.
2 Corinthians 12:9
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
So, where do we go from here?

> Keep pressing on toward healing

> Believe that Jesus' power really can flow into your powerlessness

> Remember that, beyond a power encounter, Jesus wants a personal encounter with you
Mark 5:30b-31
30…He [Jesus] turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my clothes?” 31“You see the people crowding against you,” his disciples answered, “and yet you can ask, ‘Who touched me?’ ”
Mark 5:32-34
32But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it. 33Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth. 34He said to her,“Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.”
1 John 4:10
This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
