The Names of God

God’s Names tell us who He is, what His character is like, and what we can expect from Him.

Elohim means “The Sovereign, All powerful One, or Mighty Creator”.

Elohim is used for God over 2500 times in Scripture and 32 times in Genesis 1.

In the Bible’s very first verse, God is shown as the Mighty Creator!

The Hebrew ending for Elohim is plural which shows the Godhead three in one – The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, all operating together in creation as one!

God is the Creator of everything everywhere! We should marvel at His creation but remember to worship the Creator, Elohim, not His creation!!

In the beginning Elohim alef-tav created the heavens and the earth. – Genesis 1:1

No matter what Satan or the world throws at you, our Elohim will use it for the saving of many lives!

the Logos was with Theos

Jesus is the Word – the Logos – that became flesh – He was with God – Elohim or Theos – in the beginning and through Him all things were made, and He came from the Father, full of Grace and Truth!

Do you recognize God as the Creator of the Sun, the Moon, the Stars, the Earth, the Galaxies, of you and me…of everything?

Do you believe that God is the Trinity – God is three in one – The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit, and that all three took part in creation?

Can you see how Jesus was with God and is God and He came down from Heaven to earth to make a way for us to have a relationship with the Father God?

Jesus is the Word of God – the spoken Word, the written Word, the visible Word!
