Jesus calls us out of the grave of sorrow. Sin and shame bring sorrow; the wages of sin are always death.
Sin and death create loss; spiritual, physical, relational, and financial loss. Satan uses sorrow to trap us in a cycle of sowing and reaping that brings continual corruption.
The sorrow of the world brings death, but godly sorrow brings life because it produces repentance. Grieving loss is a part of the healing process, but it’s not intended to be a way of life.
Jesus calls us out of the grave of sorrow. Godly sorrow grieves loss and acknowledges sin; it refuses to justify or blame. Godly sorrow produces repentance, a change of mind that leads to salvation.
