Who we are, our salvation, our place in the world, the reason for our existence is all based on a connection to God. And as a creation of a being who is Himself community, He has made us to be in, live in, thrive through community.

I. One of the basics of relationships or a basic form of relationship is hospitality.

- Hospitality plays a vital role in relationships.

- In Biblical culture it was important to offer hospitality to others so that they would willing to do the same for you.

II. How do we show hospitality to our neighbors and others?

- We are welcoming people not just into our homes but into our lives

- That is why it is so important to be vigilant about what and who we are letting in.

III. How do we show hospitality to God?

- It may seem strange to think about offering hospitality to God but we are told several times in scripture that it is a real possibility.

Learning to imitate what is good means that we have to spend time with the one who is good. We have to welcome God into our homes, our lives. He won't force his way in. He waits to be invited in.
