The power of Christ on the cross is greater than all your sin
Do I know that I’m a sinner?
Matthew 27:46 – My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
John 19:30 (ESV) - “It is finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
The power of Christ on the cross is greater than all your sin.
1 Peter 1:3 (ESV) - Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
Hope = confident expectation
How can we have confident expectation?

Because Jesus is alive!!
Confident expectation about the promises of God:

1. Promise of salvation – forgiven, reconciled with God, made alive in Christ…new creation, adopted, justified, redeemed

2. Promise of eternal life (read 1 Peter 1:4-9)

3. Promise to always be with you in good times and bad
Hebrews 13:5–6 (ESV) - Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” 6So we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?”
The power of Christ in His resurrection is greater than the curse of death.
Romans 6:12–14 (ESV) - Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, to make you obey its passions. 13Do not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments for righteousness. 14For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.
