Sunday 9:15 AM

Palm Sunday, also known as Passion Sunday, begins Holy Week celebrating the glory of Jesus Christ, yet by Friday, He is hanging on the cross.

This is beginning of the holiest and most exciting week on the Christian calendar.

This is the day when we remember and honor the triumphant entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem
(Matt 21:1-11, Mark 11:1-11, Luke 19:29-44, John 12:12-19)
a. Riding on a donkey
b. The crowd cheered and waved palm branches.
c. Laying them on the ground before Him.

Zechariah 9:9

But this day was not just about prophetic fulfillment, it was about much more.

In true humility, Jesus rode over those branches into Jerusalem, not on a magnificent stallion, but on the colt of a donkey.
i. It was about Jesus' willingness to enter into the heart of the city.
ii. He knew knowing that He would soon face the cross.
iii. It was about His love for us.
iv. His willingness to endure the pain and suffering that lay ahead so that we might have eternal life.
So, as we celebrate this Palm Sunday, let us remember the sacrifice that Jesus made for us. Let us be mindful of the depth of His love for us, a love that was willing to go to the cross to redeem us from sin and death.

Tithe and Offering

2 Corinthians 9:7 KJV Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, [so let him give]; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. God's people have always been characterized by giving, but the way they've given has changed over time. Giving is an important aspect of the Christian life. After all, Luke records that Jesus himself said, "It is more blessed to give than to receive" (Acts 20:35). At Northside, we want to encourage all members to pray about giving and give as God leads them.
