Accept Responsibility

Boundaries keep us from being responsible for problems we didn’t cause and for solutions, we can’t provide.

Take Action

When we allow a boundary to be violated, bad behavior is validated.

Commit to Holiness

Grace isn't a permission slip. It is a change order.

If you give space and grace and things don’t change, you need to keep an eye on your heart not just their behavior. Make sure that there is no bitterness growing between you and them.

How to Finish Well in Relationships

Do it for a season or a lifetime. (Psalm 90:12)
Do it without hatred or anger. (Psalm 37:8)
Have compassion for their pain. (Psalm 112:4)
Work to forgive them. (Ephesians 4:32)
Pray for them when you think of them. (Matthew 5:44)
Move on with the Lord. (1 Corinthians 15:33)

Don’t think of ending unhealthy relationships as a wrong or unhealthy act. Instead, see it more as sending someone off with God as you hope to walk into your future with God, too.
