Pastor Scott Borman
Jesus is _______________ to me.
Now it was the custom at the Feast to release a prisoner whom the people requested. A man called Barabbas was in prison with the insurrectionists who had committed murder in the uprising. The crowd came up and asked Pilate to do for them what he usually did. Mark 15:6-8
Jesus gives ______________.
‘Do you want me to release to you the king of the Jews?’ asked Pilate, knowing it was out of envy that the chief priests had handed Jesus over to him. But the chief priests stirred up the crowd to have Pilate release Barabbas instead.” Mark 15:9-11
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. Romans 3:23-24
Confess with your mouth, that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved.Romans 10:9
God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished—he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus. Romans 3:25-26
Jesus is my ______________.
“What shall I do, then, with the one you call the king of the Jews?” Pilate asked them. 13 “Crucify him!” they shouted. 14 “Why? What crime has he committed?” asked Pilate. But they shouted all the louder, “Crucify him!” 15 Wanting to satisfy the crowd, Pilate released Barabbas to them. He had Jesus flogged, and handed him over to be crucified. Mark 15:12-15
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9
For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 1 Timothy 2:5
You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:6-8
Legend: unknown, freedom, pardon.
Scripture: Matthew 27:15, Luke 23:13-26, John 18:38-40, Mark 15:6-15, Lev. 16:8-10, Matthew 7:13-14, Romans 3:23-24, Romans 10:9, Romans 3:25-26, 1 John 1:9 2 Timothy 2:5, Acts 3:14, Rev 13:8, John 10:18, Luke 9:21-22 2 Cor. 5:21, Romans 5:6-8
