https://www.citywidehobart.org.au/bless/Calling in the bible is a picture of God reaching out and inviting us forward to where he is, which is also where life is.
God is calling you into relationship with him, and from that place, into the adventure of whole life.

While the third level of calling is important, and we all need to know that there is a purpose for our lives, it is actually the least important of the three levels and will only be healthy with the foundation of the other two.
Our Relationship with Christ is by far the most important aspect of calling.
The Second level of calling: is to live the way Jesus taught all of his followers to live. That's what we mean by Study Jesus Way.

While following Jesus is firstly about a relationship, that relationship also must become a way of life.

Growing in the Jesus way is a process
With the foundation of a relationship with Jesus and a life increasingly shaped by him, we can step into the specific calling he has for us.
Your specific calling is what we mean by "Sent with a Purpose" it means accepting and pursuing the specific way that God has called you to give your words or actions as a blessing to the world.
If your specific calling ever loses the first two foundations it will quickly become an unhealthy priority that leads to an unbalanced lifestyle.
Our genuine specific callings will require us to die to ourselves and live in a kind of way that reflects the cross.
In our specific callings, we will be required to serve and take on roles we may not particularly enjoy
You will need the fellowship, equipping encouragement, and support of the church in order to step into your calling
As you live your specific calling, your life will speak loudly and provoke questions to which the only reasonable answer points to Jesus.
Your genuine specific calling will come from a spirit-given dream or vision that you will probably find hard to articulate and will probably become clearer gradually as you follow Jesus.
All our callings will reflect God’s glory (Justice, Mercy and Compassion) and will produce Order, Beauty and Abundance.
Our genuine specific callings will always be humanising (Love, Truth, Creative and Responsible) for you and those you connect with.
Sometimes you will discover that God is calling you to keep going on the path you are already on.
Sometimes God is asking you to step out on a new path...

Your calling will be a response to the needs you see around you:
Are you running the race marked out for you?
Reflect
Do believe God can bless others through you?
Do you believe that God has specific works for you to do? How do you feel about that?
In what ways have you spoken or acted that has produced a blessing for people this week?
In what ways have you been distracted or diverted from God’s calling on your life?
Recognise
How would you describe your understanding of God's calling for you at the moment?
How have you seen the connection between stepping into your calling and being willing to take up your cross and die to yourself in your own life?
In what ways could the church support you in stepping into your calling?
In what ways does your calling reflect Jesus’s way of life?
What is the Holy Spirit wanting to say to you about your calling?
Choose
Do you need to make any minor or major changes to better align your life with your calling?
Who do you know who might be able to give you some perspective on what they discern as your calling?
Which two or three people could you meet with each week as a Kingdom Cell in order to encourage you in your calling?
What can you do this week to move forward on your calling?
Act
What are you actually going to do?
