Throughout this sermon series we are looking parts of God’s Word that involve the church, and what it looks like for us to be the church that God created us to be. Today, we’re looking at a message in Matthew 18:15-20 that Jesus gives to His disciples about how to handle conflict. By taking a look at what He taught them, we can also learn how to handle conflict.
Realize that conflict is not inherently bad, but if left unresolved will affect your relationship with God
Matt. 5:9, 1 John 4:20, 1 Pet. 3:7, James 3:18
So how do we handle conflict?

2. Ask God for guidance

3. Address the other person privately
Matt. 18:15, Eph. 4:26-29, Matt. 7:3-5
4. Listen
Matt. 18:15, James 1:19, Prov. 17:28, 18:2, 13, Rom. 15:2
5. Focus on reconciliation

6. If necessary, get others involved
Matt. 18:16-17, Prov. 26:17, Phil. 2:3, 4:5
7. Know when to forgive or walk away
