Whether it’s friends, family (“F”), neighbors, co-workers, social groups, frats/sororities (“Ordinary ones”), fiancée & dating (“L”oved Ones), kids (“K”), & spouse (“S”), God has “programmed” us to live in community with one another. We must interact with others and engage in the relationships we have all around us.

Foundation Scripture - Colossians 3:12-14 TPT

The book of Colossians houses the foundations of Linked UP Church’s vision. How we relate to God, ourselves, each other, and our community is, what we believe, to be the essence of God’s Will for our lives

Truths to Know:

1. You are uniquely created by God and ONLY HE can give you the inner workings of your relationship behavior.

2. The experiences of your life have created who you are, good or not so good. Any growth area in you must be developed, not only by what’s taught, but what’s intentionally achieved when spending time with Holy Spirit and the Word of God.

3. Your mistakes are redeemable when you’re humble enough to acknowledge them or even be open to know them.

4. Only God can meet all expectations through our faith and reliance on Him above all else.

Expectations & Boundaries

Expectations are the strong belief that something will happen or be the case. More than anything else, our expectations determine our reality. And our expectations also impact those around us. In a self-fulfilling prophecy, people may rise or fall depending on our expectations and beliefs.

Boundaries, in the context of psychology, boundaries are a conceptual limit between you and the other person. Simply put, it's about knowing where you end and others begin. Knowing what's yours and what's not. Acknowledging that every adult is responsible for themselves. The one who sets the boundaries is responsible for enforcing them.
