Intro: Man’s Response to the Word in you.
1. Some Receive the Word of God in us.
Then those who gladly received the his word were baptized , and that day about three thousand souls were added to them. Acts 2:41

2. Some Reject the Word of God in us.
I will not go back with you. You have rejected the word of the LORD, and the LORD has ejected yo as king over Israel. 1 Sam 15:26

3. Some can’t Recall the Word of God in us.
Jesus said, It is Written, “Man shall no live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God. Matthew 4:4


ANALYSIS/APPLICATION: How Satan Works through Men in Your Life

1. The enemy works through the Envy of men.
But the Jews who were not persuaded, becoming envious, Vs 5

WORD POWER: Envy- (phthónos) A feeling of discontent, or resenmentof someone else’s possessions, qualities or blessings. A longing to have more or be bette than another!.

2. The enemy works through the Consensus of men.
took some of the evil men from the marketplace, and gathering a mob, set all the city in an uproar and attacked the house of Jason, and sought to bring them out to the people. Vs 5

3. The enemy works through the Accusations of men.
But when they did not find them, they dragged Jason and some brethren to the rulers of the city, crying out, “These who have turned the world upside down have come here too. ason has harbored them, and these are all acting contrary to the decrees of Caesar, saying there is another king—Jesus.” Vs 6-7

Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. Rev 12:10

Then I sent to him, saying, “No such things as you say are being done, but you invent them in your own heart.” For they were trying to make us afraid, saying, “Their hands will be weakened in the work, and it will not be done.” No therefore, O God strengthen my hands. Nehemiah 6:8-9:

4. The enemy works through the Threats of men
And they troubled the crowd and the rulers of the city when they heard these things. Vs 8-9

When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. 35 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it. 36 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Mark 8:34-36
