“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.” 2 Corinthians 5:10

What we value most in our lives will determine the condition of our heart.
“People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.” 1 Timothy 6:9-10
“Jesus isn’t against wealth; He is grieved by anything we value more than Him.” -Joe Stowell
“No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.” Matthew 6:24
Who is your master, God or Money?
To determine where your devotion lies, evaluate your financial decisions.
If I choose God over Money, who will take care of my daily needs?
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?” “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?” Matthew 6:25-30
You may not have everything you want, but when we do things God’s way, He will make sure you have everything you need.
“So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things…” Matthew 6:31-32
“For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.” Matthew 6:32
How do we keep God on the throne of our lives and not our Money?
“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” Matthew 6:33

Giving is not God’s way of raising money for the church, it’s His way of raising people with surrendered hearts.
