Worship Gathering - First Comes Love #1
Focus this Sunday:
This Sunday, we start a new sermon series on marriage specifically, but also relationships generally. In this series, each week we will look at biblical principles that help foster a loving, Christ-centered relationship. The truth is that love requires more than love. We will be filling in the blank of "First comes love, and then comes...." This first week, we will look at the fact that love requires sacrifice. What does God have to say to you in this?
This is also Communion Sunday. If you are online, please have your elements ready near the end of the service.
Join us Sunday at 10:30am either onsite or online! The link to the online service is on our website at (www.emmettnaz.org) and click on the Link to the Service.
Reflection Questions: (Privately or invite a few friends to discuss!)
1. What is one thing that stood out to you from this week’s message?
2. Do you think love is all you need? Why or why not?
3. What does it mean to be a living sacrifice?
4. Do you ever feel like you sacrifice more for your spouse (or friend) than they do for you? How can you constructively communicate those feelings to them if you feel that way?
5. Do you think your love for God can conflict with your love for your spouse (or friend)? Explain or give an example.
6. What things might you need to sacrifice to be a better husband or wife or friend? How will you do that this week?
7. How can we encourage and pray for each other in this?
