Locating Saved Responses: Your saved copy of the notes with your responses will be available under your "saved events". Be sure to press the SAVE button in the upper right hand corner of the app whenever adding to or editing your notes. To find your saved files in the YouVersion Bible app: Open the app, press more (three horizontal lines), events, then choose saved events.

Share about an “invitation” (written or verbal) that you were happy to receive.

DISCUSSION:

Read John 1:35-39 (you can also read vv. 29-34 for context)

1. What did you learn – from the sermon, and from the passage – about the heart of God?

2. Have you ever thought about having “more of God” in your life? Talk about that.

3. How do you respond to the idea of God “delighting” in you and loving you so deeply that “He wants nothing more than to be with you”? (Pastor Dan)

4. Read John 15:4 - In your own words, how would you describe a “Stay-with-Me” relationship with Jesus?

5. Pastor Dan shared an illustration to depict a lifestyle of abiding. What does it look like?

6. Pastor Dan gave a practical suggestion for connecting with God (10-15 min/day for 30 days, using the P.R.A.Y. acronym, for the sole purpose of being with Jesus). Do you have a plan or any other ideas of how YOU can connect with Him?

Design an actual invitation – from Jesus. It can be as formal or informal as you like. Think in terms of what He is inviting you to. Include an RSVP. If you are really creative you could even include a “menu option” selection (what He offers you – love, peace, presence, etc.) Respond to the RSVP.
