Preparation for Worship

Prelude: Jon Brannon

Call to Worship: Rev. DaVontaé Edwards

We are here to worship our great and gracious God: to sing our glad praise; to hear the voice of the Spirit; to pray for ourselves, one another, and the world; and to commit ourselves anew to the ways of Jesus.
Open us, O God, to the gifts of Your presence: light in our darkness, hope for our despair, and joy for our sadness.
We seek peace in the place of conflict, guidance through our confusion, and courage in the face of fear.
Open us, Tender Jesus, to Your grace for our sins, Your healing for our shame, and Your mercy for our brokenness. Accept our worship as an offering of love. Amen
*Hymn of Praise: No. 169
“Rejoice, Ye Pure in Heart”

Invocation & Lord’s Prayer Brent Thomas

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, for Thine is the kingdom, andthe power, and the glory forever. Amen.

Who We Are

"The church on the corner with the big columns" is who some say we are. While blessed with a building, the life of our church expands beyond these six columns.
We are a family of faith striving to love God and love others, acknowledging the greatest commandments as defined by our Lord. These are the foundation for our existence; and everything we do, whether inside or outside these columns, must reflect love of our God and love for others.
The four inner columns represent the four primary areas of the life of our church: Inreach, Outreach, Spiritual Growth, and Missions.
