CORPORATE PRAYER

• Pray for courage to share Jesus with someone God brings into your path.
• Pray for this neighborhood, for strategies to reach them for Jesus.
• Pray for those who are discouraged and those that need healing.
• Pray for openness to God’s Word this morning.
• Deal with others as we would like others to deal with us.
• This guiding principle is not the means to salvation, but the evidence of it.
• The standard for my treatment of ANYONE, in EVERY situation, should be how I’d like to be treated by others.
• Following the way of Jesus IS NOT reactionary, but revolutionary.
• The standard for my treatment of ANYONE, in EVERY situation, should be how I’d like to be treated by others.
• Pray for the self-control to just let go of an affront and move on.
• We must at times go to a brother or sister and “speak the truth in love.” (Ephesians 4:15)
• Look to Jesus’ example and ask the Holy Spirit to help us love like Jesus loved.
• Ask God to empower us to serve an offender rather than get even.
• Ask for God’s power to do to others whatever you would like them to do to you.
• Pray persistently that we might love others as God in Christ has loved and forgiven us.
LifeGroup Questions:

1. Share a moment when you felt loved. Describe how that felt.

2. Name some of the issues that keep us from loving those who are hard to love.

3. Can you recall some of the action steps from Rod's message that can help us to live well with others, and obey Jesus when we’re offended?

Next Step:

• This week, I will pray persistently that I might love others as God in Christ has loved and forgiven me.
