Big Idea: Favor does not mean that you are everyone’s favorite.

Nobody likes a tattletale.

When you are experiencing favors it means that someone else is not.

Sometimes, being the favorite produces unfavorable outcomes.

Joseph spies on his brothers for his father.

They are not where they are supposed to be.

Grace paves the way for God’s plan to unfold.

For all of Joseph’s prophetic dreams, he does not understand the path that leads him to his destiny. He truly did not see it coming.

Joseph, while a troublemaker for his brothers, does not deserve his fate.

Judah’s intervention and plan to sell Joseph into slavery inadvertently sets a plan in motion that will confirm Joseph’s dreams.

Jacob, inconsolable at the news of the demise of his son, weeps for him in the comfort of the very people that took him from his family.
