North Platte Berean Church
Lord, Help! & Lord, Thank You!
How amazing – the all-powerful Creator of the entire cosmos deeply desires…relationship with us! The Psalmist rightly penned, “What is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?” (Ps. 8:4). When we see God’s greatness, our limitation, and His deep love for us, what else can we do but cry out to Him from the deepest part of ourselves for His help? As we kick off 2023, we want to reject the idea that we’re sufficient in ourselves and turn to God in humility, dependence, and gratitude.

What was one thing from this week’s sermon that challenged me?
• Treasuring God: Why does the steadfast love of the Lord matter to me personally?
• Being Transformed: Which set of feelings do I relate to currently? In light of this, how do I need the Lord’s help?
• Loving Others: What set of feelings do I see most evident in those around me? What can I do to engage that reality?
• Pursuing Unity: How is the steadfast love of the Lord influencing my interaction with others?

Next Week's Sermon
Before concluding our study in Hebrews, we'll be taking a one-week emphasis to highlight the heart of God for widows and orphans. In particular, we'll be featuring Royal Family Kids Camp and offering ways that we can engage the helpless through this ministry in the summer of 2023.
