TWO APPLICATIONS FROM VERSES 25-26
1. Address all people in a gentle loving way.
2. All of us can be used by the enemy or fall into one of the devil’s traps by believing his lying voice.
Flee From:
1. Senseless arguing about difficult things.
2. Significant relationships with quarrelsome and divisive people
3. Youthful passions e.g. sexual lust, impulsive behavior, selfishness, pride, envy and arrogance
4. False teachings
Pursue:
1. A working knowledge of the Word of God.
2. A deep experiential relationship with Jesus.
3. A disciplined righteous lifestyle.
4. Kindness to everyone, even your enemies, and those that oppose the Gospel.
5. Good works.
If you flee from these things and pursue these things your life will cut a straight path through the wilderness of this increasingly depraved culture so that others can follow you and find their way on the road that leads to life.
