1. The Gift of our Everlasting Father today.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." John 3:16-17
WORD POWER: Everlasting Father: could be translated literally “Father of Eternity.” The Hebrew word translated “everlasting” has the idea of “in perpetuity” or “without end.”
2. The Greatness of our Everlasting Father today.
How can a new born be called Father and how can a newborn be so old as to be called everlasting?
Answer to question 1 – He’s going to grow up.
Answer to question 2 – He had an existence long before He came to earth.
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it." John 1:1-5
3. The Grace of our Everlasting Father today.
"Grace and peace be multiplied to you (this Christmas season) in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue; by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises (gifts), that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature." 2 Peter 1:2-4
