Introduction
1. Have you been shaken?
2. Luke 2:8-20 God invades the lives of the shepherds. They are shaken. They will never be the same.

Have you been shaken?
I. SHAKES LIFE’S PEACE 2:8-9
They were very much afraid.
A. God doesn’t call for a blind leap of faith.
B. Life is as usual doing everyday stuff…then God steps in.
C. Has God shaken your life? We get into a FIX then we fix the FIX…until we
can’t fix the FIX. Then God can step in.

II. SHAKES LIFE’S PURPOSE 2:10-12
A. Stop being afraid. When God steps in it is good and not BAD. This good
news isn’t just about you, but it affects others!
B. It’s not just about sheep anymore. It’s not just about you and your world.
C. It’s about Good News. This Good News was first told to these shepherds. A
Savior, Messiah the Lord…which shall be to all people. That’s Good News
for everyone!
D. Life doesn’t revolve around us and what we do.

III. SHAKES LIFE’S PRAISE 2:13-14
A.Suddenly…that’s the way it happens. An army of angels…the sky lit up with their glory.
B.What are these angels doing? “Praising God” That’s what we should do. That’s what we will do if we spend time in His presence!
C.All they want to do is have all the ‘glory’ go back to Him. Give God the
glory!!
D. Peace to men in whom God is well pleased. There is peace with God…the
war is over! This occurs at salvation. There is the peace of God…this is calm
in the midst of the storm. It is not superficial peace… this peace stops man’s
war with God. THIS PEACE CAN BE YOURS!

IV. SHAKES LIFE’S PROGRESS 2:15
A. We stop what we are doing and become involved in what He is doing.
B. Adjust your life.
C. When are we to begin? NOW! Let us go now.
D. It’s a journey of faith and obedience. They act as though what God says is
true. They order their lives after what God says. There are no guarantees…
v. 16 It’s True!
E. When you order your life by what God says, you will find it absolutely true.

Have you been shaken?
V. SHAKES LIFE’S PURSUIT 2:16
You will never see until you take a step of faith.
A. ‘Came with haste’ The key is now! Wherever you find yourself take God at
His word and apply it!
B. They found God’s word to be dependable…trustworthy.
C. If I follow God’s Word, where will it lead me? TO JESUS!
D. What are you looking for? Bypass the Word of God and you will never find
what you are looking for.

VI. SHAKES LIFE’S PROCLAMATION 2:17-19
A.God doesn’t ask for blind faith, BUT you will never see until you take the
step of faith.
B.When they ‘saw’ it changes what you talk about. They made known abroad. They couldn’t keep quiet.
C.You start talking about Jesus and people will wonder. Few investigate. Mary kept…I wonder if she kept a diary??

VII. SHAKES LIFE’S PRIORITIES 2:20
A. The shepherds went back to work, but they would never be the same.
B. “Glorifying and Praising God” They were doing what the angels did!
C. For…What God said was true…Heard…seen…as was told unto them.
