HIS NAME IS

For a child is born to us, a Son is given to us.
The government will rest on His shoulders.
And He will be called:
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:6 (NLT)

1. Jesus is our Everlasting HOPE.
… Jesus Christ…is the faithful witness to these things, the first to rise from the dead, and the ruler of all the kings of the world. Revelation 1:5 (NLT)

“I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end,” says the Lord God. “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One.” Revelation 1:8 (NLT)

In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1 (NLT)
2. Jesus is the LOVING Father.

Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word, and My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.” John 14:23 ESV

JESUS: "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. I and the Father are one.” John 10:27-30 (NLT)

- OMNIPOTENCE: God is in total control of Himself and His creation.
- OMNISCIENCE: God is the ultimate criterion of truth and falsity, so that His ideas are always true.
- OMNIPRESENCE: since God's power and knowledge extend to all parts of His creation, He Himself is present everywhere.
3. Jesus is the Captain of True JOY.

Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice insofar as you share Christ's sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when His glory is revealed. If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. 1 Peter 4:12-14 (NLT)

I have told you these things so that you will be filled with My joy. Yes, your joy will overflow! John 15:11 (NLT)

We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting Him, He endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now He is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne. Hebrews 12:2 (NLT)

Now Christ has gone to heaven. He is seated in the place of honor next to God, and all the angels and authorities and powers accept His authority. 1 Peter 3:22 (NLT)
4. Jesus is the Complete PEACE.

JESUS: "Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27 (NIV)

JESUS: "I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take courage; I have overcome the world!" John 16:33 (NIV)

5. Our Response: ADORATION.

I. Put your HOPE in Jesus.
II. Tell Jesus you LOVE Him.
III. Sing to Jesus in JOY.
IV. Be a Person of PEACE.
a. PRAY FOR A FRIEND.
b. HUG A FRIEND.
