WHAT YOUR ENEMY SAYS ABOUT YOUR PAST
1.YOU ARE UNFORGIVABLE
Guilt: You’ve done too much, you're unforgivable.
"My guilt overwhelms me-it is a burden too heavy to bear!" - Psalms 38:4
2.YOU ARE UNLOVABLE.
Shame: What if people knew.
"At that moment their eyes were opened, and they suddenly felt shame at their nakedness. So they sewed fig leaves together to cover themselves." Genesis 3:7
3. YOU ARE USELESS.
Regret: Because of what I've done in the past, I have no future.
If you can’t let go of your past, you can’t take hold of your future.

If you can’t let go of your past, you can’t take hold of your future.
Although you can’t change your past, God can change your future.
HOW TO LET GO OF YOUR PAST
1. CLOSE THE DOOR TO YOUR PAST.
God’s grace is bigger than your sin/past/regrets
"But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness." 1 John 1:9
Your standing with God is determined by relationship not rules.
"Now you are no longer a slave but God’s own child. And since you are his child, God has made you his heir." Galatians 4:7
"But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. 13They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God." John 1:12-13
2. STEP INTO YOUR FUTURE.
God saves you from your past so you can step into your future.
Your story is not a story about your failure, but about God’s victory.
"I don't mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me. 13No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, 14I press on to reach the end of
the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us." Philippians 3:12-14
You are not what you've done, you are who God says that you are.
