"We Are A Blessed Church” - Karl Jones
Intro: The Burleson church family is a special and good place and has been for a long time! What makes this such a unique and special church? After 38 years, here is what I believe are some of the primary reasons why Burleson is such a great place to be.
I. A History of Solid, Good Leadership
1. The Old Testament is a manual on the ____________ of __________.
2. For many decades this church has been blessed with wise, spiritually mature ________. Some examples:
A.) In May of 1941 the total offering for the month was $39.35 and the
total expenses for the month were $38.34, leaving a positive balance
of $1.01. Of the $38.34 spent, $3.88 was sent to an orphans home.
That amount was right at ___% of _____ _________ given.
B.) In the mid 1960’s this church outgrew its building, and the
decision was made to relocate and build a new facility. The new
building was designed for _______.
C.) In 1988 it was discovered that the one fully supported foreign
missionary was actually “running off” more people than he was
“bringing in.” The response of the Eldership was not to suspend
missions but to ask, “What are ____ doing _______?” How can ___ do
mission work _______?”
D.) In 1998 the leadership did a church growth evaluation, and it was an
uncomfortable experience but led to ________ ________.
E.) In 2002 we began our Day of Thanks and Giving to help us achieve
this new facility. Then in 2014, the decision was made to _____ ______
____ that was given!
II. The People Who Are the Burleson Church
1.This church is made up of people who ______ _____ and ______ ____ __________.

B.) This is a church were the spirit of ______ and ___________ prevail.

III. The Goodness of God
1.Let us always look to God and His goodness and give ____ ________, ________, and ________ to God for His goodness to us.
2.God is good. What is sad is how many limit or forfeit God’s goodness in their lives because they are not ___________, _________, or __________. Whatever you do, don’t shut out God and His goodness in ______ _____!
