Discussion Questions - Re-read our passage from this week (Ephesians 2:11-18) and then with your Growth Group, family, friends, etc. thoughtfully answer the following:
1. What other identities does the world try to make foundational?
2. How do we maintain a gentle disposition with those who oppose God’s truth and idolize other sources of identity other than Christ? (See 2 Timothy 2:23-26)
3. What are some external things that we might be tempted to equate with a right relationship with God (similar to how circumcision was viewed by the Jews in Paul’s writing)?
4. How have you witnessed the truth that without God in this world people are without hope?
5. The same sacrifice that brings peace between God and men brings peace between men. Agree or disagree? How does this find application in your life?
6. How do the principles in this passage address social issues popular in our culture today like Critical Race Theory, DEI training (diversity, equity and inclusivity), Racial tensions, etc.?
7. What is your next step in following Jesus after this study?
