Joy in the Journey
Isaiah 35:1-10

Bible
35:1 The restoration of creation is so complete that even the land sings and praises God!
35:8 There will be a highway in the middle of all Creation that leads us home to God
When God shows up, the salvation is not singular and personal, it is communal and structural.
35:3-4 God comes into the world to save God’s people

Application
Proclaim – We have a hope for a peace and joy that comes from being a people found by a Savior who came to find us.
Recall & Repeat – Point out the signs of God’s presence and action in this world.

Mission
We exist to bring people to Jesus and develop them into fully mature, reproducing followers of Christ.

Friendship exists to open the eyes of the blind (35:5), show everyone the glory and majesty of God (35:2), to blossom abundantly like the crocus (35:1) and to strengthen those who are weak (35:3).

Response
Are you on that highway?
If you are still seeking pure joy, today is the day.
Are you growing in your joy?
This joy is for the community of God.
Take an opportunity to join a growth group to grow in faith and joy.
Are you strengthening others?
Proclaim the joy you have received and give the gift of joy to someone else.

Isaiah 35:10
And the ransomed of the Lord shall return and come to Zion with singing. Everlasting joy shall be upon their heads; they shall obtain gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

FriendshipKIDS Service

Next week, December 18, FriendshipKIDS will be performing their Christmas musical during both services. You do not want to miss it as these young actors and actresses are making their world debuts.

Christmas Eve Services

4pm and 5:30pm.

Each service is the same format. The first service is usually more crowded, so if you have an opportunity to join us at the second, please do.

Christmas Day Service

We will have 1 service on Christmas day at 10:30 AM. There will be no FriendshipKIDS that day.

New Year's Eve Prayer

The sanctuary will be open from 10:30 PM until midnight on New Year's Eve for prayer as we ready our hearts for 2023. At midnight, instead of watching the ball drop, we will share in the Lord's Supper as we put Him before our future.
