Multiply Christian Church is a ministry of Westerville Christian Church.
Christmas is more than just another holiday. Christmas reminds us that a Savior was sent to rescue the world in the form of a baby in a manger. But, why did we need a Savior and why does that Savior still matter today? Join us at Multiply Christian Church this December, as we study the important implications of the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Genesis 1:31 (NASB) 31 God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good. Everything God created was good; perfect!

Genesis 3:8 (NASB) 8 They heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day

Psalm 5:4 (NIV) 4 For you are not a God who is pleased with wickedness; with you, evil people are not welcome.

Habakkuk 1:13 (NIV) 13 Your eyes are too pure to look on evil; you cannot tolerate wrongdoing.

Genesis 2:25 (NASB) 25 Adam and his wife were both naked, and they felt no shame.
Sin: to depart voluntarily from the path of duty prescribed by God to man; to violate the divine law…

Genesis 3 (NASB)
14…Cursed are you more than all cattle…
16…I will greatly multiply your pain…
17…Cursed is the ground because of you…

The moment Adam and Eve sinned, we became in need of a savior.

Genesis 3:15 (NASB) 15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise you on the head, and you shall bruise him on the heel.

Romans 3:10-12 (NASB)10…“There is none righteous, not even one; 11 there is none who understands, there is none who seeks for God; 12 all have turned aside, together they have become useless; there is none who does good, there is not even one.”

Romans 3:23 (NASB) 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Romans 6:23 (NASB) 23 For the wages of sin is death.

Romans 8:20-22 (NASB) 20 For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God. 22 We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.

“The best of men are only men at their very best. Patriarchs, prophets, and apostles, – martyrs, fathers, reformers, puritans, – all are sinners, who need a Savior: holy, useful, honorable in their place – but sinners after all.”- - J.C. Ryle
We need a savior because of our brokenness and sin.

2 Corinthians 5:21 (NIV) 21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.The whole of the Old Testament, every book, points toward the Great Sacrifice that was to come—that of Jesus’ sacrificial giving of His own life on our behalf.

Leviticus 17:11 (NASB) 11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood by reason of the life that makes atonement.

The purpose of the Savior was to redeem and rescue everyone and everything from the consequences of sin.
Our Savior saves us from the eternal consequences of sin.
Since Jesus is the Savior:
1. Recognize your need for the Savior.
2. Come back to Him if you’ve wandered away.
3. Commit your life to Him.
4. Celebrate the arrival of The Savior this Christmas.

Give

Giving our tithes (10%) and offerings (anything above and beyond) is a tangible way to acknowledge that everything we have is God’s to begin with. Giving the first portion of our income back to Him allows our church to do ministry and to help meet the needs of those throughout our community and world.
You can give by using this link or you may also text to give by texting the word "Give" to 614.808.8008 and choosing "Multiply Christian Church" as the recipient. Thank you!
