Volleyball
Monday night volleyball will be taking a break over the Christmas holidays. They will meet for the last time this year on December 5 and resume playing in the new year on January 9. (In case you missed it, on Mondays we have pickup volleyball in the gym from 7-9pm for all ages.) Contact Mykenna Eckhoff if you have questions.

Annual Church Elections
Our church elections are coming up in the middle of December. At that time, we elect board members, councils, department heads, and delegates to our district assemblies. We will have a short perfunctory business meeting to open the process during service on December 11. To vote, you must be a member of Manteno Nazarene Church, be 15 years old, and vote in person. Christmas Cards
Again this year we are posting Christmas Cards on the bulletin board in the hallway by the kitchen for those who wish to send greetings to our church family. Please feel free to post one or just stop by and read the greetings from others.

Giving Tree
Do you want to have a family activity that will demonstrate Christ’s love? Our church is adopting 3 families (10 people) for Christmas this year. Out in the foyer, you will find a Christmas tree full of angels. Please take an angel or two, or three, or ten, and purchase the item on the angel. Please purchase new items and then wrap the gift up. Be sure to put the angel on the outside of the package. Please bring your gift and put it under the tree, by December 18. We will pray for these lives represented by each gift before we present them to the families. Each gift should be no more than $50. If you don’t have time to go and purchase the item, you can make a donation and your gift will be purchased on your behalf. Please check with Lynne Utter if you have any questions.

Birthday Party for Jesus
| Wednesday, December 14 | 6:30pm | Preschool and K-4th will be celebrating Jesus's birthday with a typical birthday party during Wednesday programming. Come ready to have some fun and invite a friend!

Family Communion
| Sunday, December 18 | 5-6:30pm | During this evening, you and your people (family, friends, coworkers, neighbors, et al) are encouraged to come to the sanctuary, have a quiet time of meditation, and then come to the altar or front row to be served communion.

Wednesday Night Programming
| Wednesdays, December 21 & 28 | There will be no Wednesday night programming (youth or kids) due to the holidays.

Christmas Caroling
| Wednesday, December 21 | 5pm | Wondering what to do with your free Wednesday night? (See above) Come caroling, one and all. Meet at church at 5pm and we will carpool to some of our Manteno people's houses and help them welcome in the season. Afterward, we will come back to the church and warm up with some chili and cocoa.

Christmas Eve Service
| Saturday, December 24 | 4pm | Join us as we welcome Christmas together. A cozy time to sing a few carols and listen to the Christmas story.

Christmas Service
| Sunday, December 25 | It would be weird not to have a service on the birthday of our Lord, yet it is weird to have a service on Christmas, a huge family time. Know that if you stay home with your family, we understand, and if you come to worship with us, we get it also. If you are coming, we will have a hot chocolate bar starting at 9:30am. (For our custodians, we will be requiring lids in the sanctuary.) Service, maybe a little more acoustic than usual, will be at its regular time of 10am and will be streamed and recorded for future viewing. It will be a family service, i.e. no children's programming.

Church Office Closed
| December 26-January 1 | The church office will be closed the week after Christmas. Normal business hours, 8am-1pm, will resume on January 2, 2023.
