This crazy, broken world that we live in can leave us questioning so much about ourselves, wondering who we really are. Sometimes, it feels like there are a million voices trying to define and describe us. Strangely, all of that noise only makes us feel more alone, more afraid. The truth, though, is that God, through the work of Christ on the cross, is inviting us into His family! He wants to adopt us as His own children! As beautiful as it is to think about that, it’s even more amazing to realize that we can actually do that for children around us who really need a family. Join us, as we learn who we are in Christ, and how we can ACT on that truth.

Ephesians 1:3-8

We are united with Christ.

Ephesians 1:3
All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.

Here's what being IN CHRIST means for us:

Here's what being IN CHRIST means for us:
We are blessed.

Here's what being IN CHRIST means for us:
Our blessing is from the Spirit.

Here's what being IN CHRIST means for us:
We are part of a new reality.

Ephesians 1:4

This was all His idea.

From even before the beginning God was planning our rescue.

God’s rescue is rooted in God’s love.

God’s love compels God’s choosing.

God’s action is about our healing.

God’s action is about our healing.
-IN CHRIST God is setting us apart.
-IN CHRIST God is making us clean.
-IN CHRIST God is restoring us to himself.

Ephesians 1:5

God chose us.

God loved you from the very beginning. From before the first moment of your life, God wanted to be your Father.

All of God’s activity in creation has been about bringing you to himself.

God has given EVERYTHING to adopt you into His family.
He has directed all of His strength, all of His authority toward making a way for you.

The thought of you bearing His name, being identified with Him moves God deeply. That’s how much God loves you!

So...what do we do?

TRUST GOD

Are you in Christ this morning, or are you Christ adjacent?

Would you surrender your life to Christ today?
Simply pray:
God, I need you.
Please rescue me. Please forgive me.
I give all that I am to you.

Ephesians 1:6-8

PRAISE GOD

-For His kindness
