How is Israel’s mental health at this point?
“TOO BROKEN TO BELIEVE”
What does God do with these weary people?
He gives them A REASON TO BELIEVE.
LAMENT:
A prayer in pain that leads to trust.
What is God’s deeper purpose in the exodus deliverance?
To bring them NEAR to God.
“I want you to know ME.”
God’s greater purpose in ALL His working is to bring us nearer to Himself.
4 ways to know Christ more deeply:
1. Experience God’s POWER expressed for my own BENEFIT.
2. Experience a greater CLOSENESS with God through shared SUFFERING.
3. Experience the painful blessing of spiritual TRANSFORMATION into Christ-likeness through LOSS.
4. Experience deeper intimacy with God through a shared FUTURE HOPE.

Why did God wait so long to deliver His people?
For the benefit of EVERY FUTURE GENERATION…
…and for THE EGYPTIAN PEOPLE.
