Don't Just Do Something - Sit There!

Don't Just Do Something - Sit There!

As John returns from Sabbatical he has a two week series on Luke 10:25-42 before we launch our Advent series. The two stories in this section may be familiar or completely unknown to you, but regardless of familiarity level, may we approach the Scripture with humility, expectation and joy as we allow it to speak to us and show us how we can Treasure God more and more!

Baptisms – Today and Sun. 11/27
Baptism is a public witness of an internal reality – that the person has passed from death to life by trusting in Jesus alone for salvation.

Today at the 11 a.m. gathering, we’re baptizing:
• Kreighton Bryant, by Morgan Bryant (mom) at 11am
• Braelee Miller, by Shane Miller (dad) and Chase Dodson (uncle) at 11am

Next Sunday at the 9:15 a.m. gathering, we’re baptizing:
• Koby Simants, by Greyson Kautz (friend) and Jodi Simants (mom)
Talk It Over

Visit npberean.org/grow-groups to find a group, start a group, or get more resources.

• What was one thing from this week’s message that impacted/challenged me?

Treasuring God: Why does my love for God impact my view/value of service?

Being Transformed: What is one thing that I recognize I need Jesus to change within me, as a result of this story?

Loving Others: What can I learn from the example of Martha in how I am hospitable and serve?

Pursuing Unity: How can we help one another to better “sit and listen” to Jesus before serving?

Next Week's Sermon

We'll begin the Advent (which means "Coming") season by looking at the ways Christ fulfilled several of the prophecies cited for the Messiah at his First Coming.
