Main Idea
In this week's message, Pastor Zak continues to dive into the Second Coming of Christ. We will not know the day or the hour in which He will return; our responsibility is to prepare for when we meet Him face to face. Salvation comes alone through Jesus and His payment of sins through death and resurrection on the cross. After Salvation, we walk out the everyday sanctification journey of becoming more like Jesus.
Sanctification is an ongoing process of yielding to God's Word and His Spirit in order to complete the development of Christ's character in us. In the book of Revelation, we study the churches addressed in chapters two and three to strengthen our walk with God and sanctification journey.
Each of these churches can serve as an example to us of what to do and not to do while preparing to be a bride. The only church not corrected was the Church in Philadelphia.
The reasoning is because of their reverence for the Word of
God. We must prioritize the Word and use it to shape who we are and how we live. Applying God's Word in our everyday lives is the number one priority as we prepare to step into eternity.

Jesus, we are grateful to know of your return! Thank you for dying on the cross so that we may live in eternity
with our Heavenly Father. Show us how to continue to be sanctified here on earth. Highlight to us where we
have allowed any poor theology or unhealthy behaviors and give us the strength to walk out the new creation
we are in Christ! In Your powerful Name we pray, Amen.

The Second Coming of Christ can be intimidating to anyone without salvation or the proper view of God. Encourage your group members in the hope found in Jesus. Remind them that we are saved by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8) and each of these seven action items are ways we prepare ourselves, not how we achieve salvation.
