Our Fall series, WHY?, is answering some of the questions people often think or ask as they consider the Bible and the Christian faith.

Practically this series can help in several ways:
1. This series has addressed many of the thoughts and concerns of non-Christians or someone who is not sure of that fact.
2. For a Christian that still has questions or doubts about the Bible and the Christian faith, they have learned some things that have challenged them to grow closer to the Lord.
3. For Christ-followers who want to tell others about Jesus, this series has presented information to further equip you to be able to answer questions that non-Christians might ask.
Today we wrap up the series with our final question:
Why does God love me?
This short question is one of the most profound questions ever asked. And no human would be able to answer it sufficiently.
Romans 3:10-12
If the Romans passage indicates the reality of who we are as humans, then how is it possible for a holy, righteous, perfect God to love such creatures?
We can try to come close to understanding this when we think about how much a mother loves her baby.
It's a mystery why we love our kids so much, but we do. And God's love for us is just like that love, only it's infinitely greater!
Three Scriptural Reasons to Explain Why God Loves Me:

First—God loves me because it is the nature and CHARACTER of God to love.
1 John 4:7-8
Second—God loves me because He CREATED me.
Psalm 139:13-14

Third—God loves me and in turn wants a RELATIONSHIP with me and desires to be my SAVIOR.
John 15:13; John 3:16; 1 John 4:10; Romans 5:7-8; Ephesians 2:1, 4-5
Your heavenly Father, the creator of the Heavens and the Earth, the all-powerful God loves you deeply and is committed to your well-being!
How awesome is that?!
Hopefully now we understand why God loves us.

God wants us to respond to the love that we've received from Him by loving Him back.
Do we know how to love God?
There's more to love than feelings; actions are involved as well because that's how we demonstrate our love.
The Bible tells us not only to love God, but how to do it.
Here are four ways to love God back:

1. TRUST God's son, Jesus, with your life.
Romans 10:9-10
John 14:6

If anyone would like to learn more about trusting Jesus Christ as their Savior, Brian will be in the lobby after the service with a booklet for you called "Knowing God Personally."
If a lost person does not trust Jesus as their Lord and Savior, then the next 3 actions cannot even happen.
2. PRIORITIZE God in your daily thoughts and actions.

Life should be increasingly MORE about Him and LESS about you!
3. DEVELOP a deep relationship with God.
1 John 2:3; 5:3
John 15:10

Obedience is God's love language. Obedience proves our love for Him.
4. LOVE your neighbor.
1 John 4:20; 5:1

God loves all people. Those He created upon the earth and those who have put their faith in His Son, Jesus.
You cannot love God without loving others; the two are inseparable.
Throughout the series we've emphasized the fact that we need to demonstrate God's love to those people who are dear to us and those who we encounter on a regular basis.

Talk at your table for a few minutes about what you can specifically do to demonstrate God's love to your family and friends this week.

No matter what you have done, no matter what is going on in your life right now...God loves you.
