Main Idea: The Lord Jesus will return when the time is right.
Outline: We are going to answer two questions many believers have about Christ’s return.
Question 1: How do we know for sure that Jesus will return?
1. The Promise: The Lord’s Word says that He will return (vv. 1-2)
2. The Precedent: The Lord has intervened at the planetary level before (vv. 3-7)
Question 2: Then why have we been waiting so long?
1. The Lord is Eternal (8)
2. The Lord is Patient (9a)
3. The Lord is Merciful (9b)
4. The Lord is Holy (10)
