This Week's Sermon: International Day of Prayer for Persecuted Christians
International Day of Prayer 2022 | Rebecca: Nigeria
The Voice of the Martyrs' 2022 International Day of Prayer video, "Rebecca: Nigeria," tells the story of a Nigerian woman who watched helplessly with her daughter as Boko Haram militants killed her husband and son, and burned her home. When she searched the charred remains of her home, she found the Bible that she and her husband had received on their wedding day. "I still use this Bible," Rebecca said. "It reminds me of God's faithfulness."

Still there is the burden for Christians suffering for their faith around the world…… see resources by the back doors and at the Information Center in The Commons.

• What was one thing you heard in this week’s sermon that has impacted/challenged me?
• Treasuring God: How is my response to “calamity” (adversity, suffering) shaped by how I view and understand God?
• Being Transformed: What is an area of my life that I need the Spirit’s help to be able to respond more like we see in Habakkuk?
• Loving Others: Who in my life is currently experiencing suffering? What step can I take to serve or care for them?
• Pursuing Unity: What part can we play in supporting Christians all around the world who are facing extreme persecution every day?
