Welcome to Mission Hills!

Mission Hills is a church family—a family who wants to extend to you the same love, hope, and joy that we have received. We know that we cannot be all things to all people. But we do want to be one thing to all people. We want to be the place where anyone, of any age, of any level of spiritual maturity, of any economic class, of any ethnicity, of any church background—or no church background—can meet God in a way that transforms their life…forever!

If you are a first time guest, we would love to meet you! Stop by the Welcome Center for a free gift.

Acts 1:7

What we learned last week:

1. The Book of Revelation is all about Jesus the Life-Bringer.

Jesus said, The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. (Jn. 10:10).

2. The Book of Revelation is God saying to you, “I know things are hard, but hold on because there’s hope.”

“Happy and full of hope is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and happy and full of hope are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, (Rev. 1:3)

3. Revelation is an invitation to put Jesus on the throne of your life.

If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Rom 10:9)

Revelation 21:1

Alternate Translation: Then I saw "a new heaven and a new earth," for the first heaven and the first earth had returned…(Rev. 21:1)
The Bible teaches there are three stages of history: Reign, Rebellion and Restoration.

Genesis 1:1

The end of the world as we know it is the beginning of the world as God meant it.
The Restoration has already begun.

Romans 6:4

The five events before all is made new: The Great Tribulation, the Rapture, the Resurrection, the Millennium, the Final Judgment
The Great Tribulation is a time of great upheaval and persecution against Christians

Matthew 24:21

The Rapture is when Christians meet Jesus somewhere off-earth.

1 Thessalonians 4:17

The Resurrection is when Jesus’ followers are given new bodies.

1 Corinthians 15:51-52

The Millennium is a thousand years of peace on earth because the Devil is restrained.

Revelation 20:2

The Final Judgment is when everyone is held accountable for their lives.

Revelation 20:11

Postmillennialism: Millennium (literal-ish), Great Tribulation, Rapture – RETURN – Resurrection, Final Judgement.

Amillennialism: Millennium (figurative), Great Tribulation, Rapture – RETURN – Resurrection, Final Judgement.
Modern (Dispensational) Premillennialism: Rapture, Great Tribulation – RETURN – Resurrection, Millennium, Final Judgement.
Classical Premillennialism: Great Tribulation, Rapture/Resurrection – RETURN – Millennium, Final Judgement.
Jesus told us this stuff so we’d be prepared, not preoccupied.
We're not the planning committee, we're the welcoming committee.

Matthew 24:1-2

Don’t focus on what’s fleeting.

Matthew 24:3-6

Keep calm and stay on mission.

Matthew 24:7-8

Remember that what's coming is so much better than what is now.

Matthew 24:9-13

What matters most is love.
What's your next step to standing firm in love?
