Vision Check-Up wk2 - Understanding our Why
Vision checkups are important for all of us in our individual lives to make sure we’re seeing clearly and can chase after all that comes our way in life. They are also imperative as a church. To circle back and make sure we’re staying focused as a church with the clarity we need most - to not allow ourselves to get distracted or fuzzy on what we’re called to be about…

Thanks for joining us...
Whether you're on-site or online, we are praying that tonight will be an encouragement to your soul. May God whisper to you and help you in taking your next steps in a journey with Him. If you're new, we'd love to have you fill out our connection card.
https://connect-card.com/yr4Y0g8VLBSqzKXeubjbEvery church that adheres to the Scriptures and is following Jesus has the ‘gospel ice cream’ of Jesus' call — it’s the call from Jesus that you'll find in the Great Commission and Great Commandment that every church is to be about!
…The HOW they carry that out and the WHAT they engage in for seeing that through, might be their ‘flavor’, if you will. Might be slightly different in its experience and execution of that pursuit…in each church.

Our Mission is rallied around: 3 Key values: (our HOW / our WHAT - our flavor)
We strive to be a church that will:
REACH people with Jesus
EQUIP people to know Jesus
SEND people out for Jesus

Our Vision:
Elements City Church is an inviting community of Jesus followers, commissioned by the Gospel to make disciples by cultivating relationships that reflect the love of Christ.

Community Matters!
Inviting others continually.
Jesus follower > fan of Jesus
Cultivating relationships that reflect the love of Christ is intentional and personal!
REACH OUT INTENTIONALLY…
*we want to challenge each of us going into 2023 to focus on what we’re going to call -- our 1:1:1 initiative
Each one — Reach one — Each year

Jesus never called anyone to be a fan of him - he called us to be a follower.
discipleship is about PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT
- equipping people as apprentices / students of Jesus.

Pursuing spiritual growth, development, and God’s sanctifying work within us, is meant to be a NORMAL thing, not an optional thing for a disciple of Jesus.
Spiritual depth matters in a superficial world.
There is 168 hours in a week — we get you 1 hr a week (maybe 3 hours if you’re in a group).
The Average Christian engages with the Bible 2 times during the week
We engage social media 3 1/2 hours a day = over 24.5 hours/wk
Formation is happening - is it the formation you desire most?
We want to create tools/resources that will help equip you to follow Jesus.

Each follower of Jesus is to live sent as an ‘active agent’ for God and His good in this world.

As we pursue our Vision... dream with us...
In the next 10 years, we dream of becoming a self-sustaining church free to design our ministries as God calls. We envision our own campus in Mid-town as a hub built for modern ministry (high relational + high digital), where we gather in community and are sent out as active agents for Gospel impact where we live, work and play.

We want to chase after creating room that can impact the families that aren’t here yet (with the winsomeness of Christ) — to watch your friends/family get saved here, connected here, your co-workers, family, neighbors experience the HOPE of God here and have Him transform their lives. To see our community grow and our city impacted by the love and good of Christ!
