1. Don’t covet possessions because they don’t give or sustain life.
“Bios” leaves us restless and insatiable, hungering for more; “zoe” produces contentment, peace and joy.” – James Edwards, The Gospel According to Luke
“He did not realize that the bellies of the poor are much safer storerooms than his barns.” – Augustine.
Take care, and be on your guard against all covetousness.
3. Be content because life is God’s gift, and He will sustain it.
4. Be content because you are of great worth to God.
5. Be content because your days are numbered for all of eternity.
6. Be content and do God’s will because your loving Father is the King, and He will give you whatever you need both now and forever!
Big Idea:
Be content and do God’s will instead of coveting, because life and everything else is God’s gift to His children!
