1 - run with endurance - run or have a course towards cheerful, hopeful constancy.
- set before us - to be in view or mind, present.
2 - looking unto Jesus - consider by looking away from all else.
- for the joy - as contrasted with the one and only calm delight producing exceeding gladness.
- set before Him - to be in view or mind, present.
- endured - to stay under, undergo, persevere.
- despising the shame - pain associated with the event (but not His focus).
- set before us - to be in view or mind, present.
